Bead + Fiber began its journey in Boston, Massachusetts, in October of 2008 when founder, Andrea Garr, opened its doors to the SoWa Community. Since then, B + F has been the heart and soul for patrons seeking crafting materials as well as a safe-haven for learning the art of Craft. Flash forward to 2017, the spirit of B + F lives on as Andrea says “farewell” and begins her new journey in Colorado.
The story continues, as new shopkeeper, Larissa Callahan takes the reins to maintain Bead + Fiber’s legacy. She is a Boston based designer with a fiery entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for helping others. In 2009, Larissa approached previous owner, Andrea, about interning for her when Larissa began an entrepreneur-based Senior Project at her high school in Swampscott, Massachusetts. After spending her last quarter assisting at B + F, learning the ins-and-outs of running a small business, Larissa was instantly captivated by the idea of running her own business. With the encouragement of her loving family, and friends, her dream of becoming a brick-and-mortar “Business Owner” is now a reality!
